hi, i have a 92 ford laser, whenever i drive it seems to over heat pretty quickly. i had a new radiator put in about 9 months ago because the old one had a crack.
i have worked out that when the car starts to overheat, i can get it to cool down buy putting the heater on the fresh setting and turning it up, seems to help.
can anyone tell me why its overheating and how to fix it??? thankyou

First port of call is the thermostat. Check it works by putting in a pan of hot/boiling water and see if it opens. Other areas to check are
Coolant level too low
Possible airlock in the water system
Electrical temperature sensor may defective
Electric fan or sensor defective
Defective water pump.
