I recently purchased a Motorola H500 Bluetooth/wireless headset to use with my iPhone. I managed to connect it to my iPhone on the first try... that was easy. Now I'm looking to pair with my laptop (for use with music, video, games, etc) since my actual speakers no longer work.
I have Vista, so when I go into my Bluetooth settings, I click on the 'Devices' tab, and click add. Sometimes I am able to establish a connection, and sometimes not. I'm not sure why this is? This is what happens:
Under 'Devices', I click 'Add'. It asks me to turn it on, make it discoverable, etc. I do this. I put my headset into pairing mode and then set my laptop to search for it. The times this does work, I click on the discovered headset and choose 'Finish'. It will ask for a password, which I put in and I am presented with a screen which tells me my headset has been successfully paired. Now, I go to my Sound control panel and the headset is not listed under either 'Playback' or 'Recording'.
why is this happening? I tried referring to the documentation, but it only lists help getting the headset set up with a phone; yet it advertises that you can use it with a PC (laptop) as well to listen to music or to use with devices like Skype and so on for voice chat.
Does anybody know how to get this thing set up? Any help would be greatly appreciated
