How to send files in a macbook using bluetooth?

Hi, my bluetooth in my macbook can receive files, but i can not send them. An announce appears that I need to activate bluetooth sharing in system preferences, but it is actually activated... so, what is going on? what are the factory settings for bluetooth in a macbook using leopard?
Is it broken? I still can receive files using bluetooth??
