I have a small, sloped flower bed beside my concrete front steps. There's currently stones between it and my walkway. I'd like to pull out the rocks and build a short wall up against the walkway, and fill it in with dirt. The walkway is almost a perfect 90deg corner. The 2 walls I'd need to build are 4ft and 7ft.
I bought some driveway bricks, 8x4x3, and am thinking about laying around 4 rows high. The bottom row will be half the height lower than the sidewalk stones, and I was going to use quickcrete to attach the bricks together.
Will this work? Should I use the concrete to attach the wall to the walkway and steps to make sure it will not fall over? Any better suggestions?
