Call your local Dodge dealer and talk to the parts department. With a truck that new, chances are the first year or two it was serviced at a dealer when the factory warranty was still valid. Also, many vehicles sold new were included with special deals for things like oil changes and other maintenance items. The dealer would be able to give you a complete list of everything that any dealer did to that truck.
P.S. I have a '00 Dakota, 2wd, 4.7L, 5-speed, regular cab and I love it.
--If you are looking at a 5-speed, check to see if it takes a special type of oil, the previous owner of mine didn't get that memo, and I had to replace a $3000 transmission.
