How to save cooked pasta for the next day?

the last time i wanted to use pasta for my dinner
the next day it was horrible.
I left it in water overnight thinking that would keep the pasta soft
but all it did was leave it all slimy so i chucked it in the bin.
I want to get it right for my dinner tomorrow so how do i get it to be perfectly edible??
 
pasta is cheap, fast and easy to cook, make enough sauce for the next day but just take 7 minutes to make fresh pasta, you're family will thank you.

unless you've made a special casserole to which I would say drizzle a little olive oil on the noodles to coat them and then tightly wrap with cling film.
