How to save a print screen image?

When you print screen an image, you can paste it onto microsoft word. But is there anyway to save the print screen image to an image file? (Gif, Jpg)

yes but you have to have a program that can convert it such as Photoshop or Adobe Pro Reader. Paint might do it to but I'm not familiar with that application. I know that Paint comes with most Operating Systems so you should have it. Give it a try if you have it. Most likely it would be a matter of pasting the image in the program and then choose "save as" and see what kind of options you have to save it as.

Paint. Then upload it to imagshack.us then save the file from there.

Well open Ms Paint and paste by pressing Ctrl + v
and save it into Gif,Jpg , Bmp or whatever..

Then Paste in paint and Save as jpg
