How to "reset" a kenwood kac728s amp?

i have a kenwood kac728s amp that i have had in my jeep for about 6 months, And i had a kicker 12" comp wired up. Today i went to Wire up my new kenwood 12" sub and my amp went into protect mode and i don't know what to do to get it out. i checked the power and ground... both tight... and the remote is good as well. please help me troubleshoot this issue.... thanks
 
i had something very similar happen! do you have another sub to test? my voice coil was fried (unknowingly and freekishly... worked fine earlier)... and anytime i went to hook the sub up, the amp would go into protect mode! try a diff sub to see what results you end up with.
