Last night I was at a friend's party and the guests were solely family. 3 guys showed up and one of them is notorious for stealing and just got caught recently and is on probation for minor consumption. He was the only one my purse was left around unattended and this morning, my iPod and digital camera were missing. I confronted him about it and he is, of course, denying knowing anything about it. He has stolen from many others I know and it has been things such as iPods; I don't know if he sells them to friends or pawns them off but I am positive he is the one who took my things. I called the police station and they said to come down and write a report so now I'm wondering what can be done to this guy? I am sure I want to turn him in, I have no doubt about that, but I'm just wondering since he's probably already gotten rid of my belongings if anything can actually be done about it? If nothing else, I want his name on paper and in with the police and his officer to know that he's violating probation.
Also, will the police be in contact with him? I at least want a phone call made to him so he knows I'm not screwing around. As long as he knows he got caught and his probation officer knows he's been turned in for something, I'll definitely be sleeping better at night!
