I just did this on a 89 chevy .I put the studs through used a couple of flat washers that fit the studs ,put the lug nuts on backwards and used an impact gun to pull them in till they bottomed out ,Then spun the nuts back off and removed the washers and put the wheel on .
Using an impact gun, place the stud in the flange of the hub and put a couple of washer on to protect the surface of the hub and then put the nut on backward if it is a cone shaped nut and zip the nut down with the impact gun. It should seat the stud in the hub.
look for the lug locator slot on the back of the hub, then line them up, push them in location holes as far as they will go. from here you can tap them in with a hammer, and then fit a nut and tighten accordingly, until the stud is fully pressed against the hub.
