We have a 2005 LaCrosse 6-cylinder with about 28,000 miles on it. One person told me that there is a "strainer in the gas tank that is not really serviceable" and that "GM feels that it never needs to be replaced." Another said that it doesn't have any fuel filter at all. Some others have said it is in different locations but we can't find it anywhere on the fuel line. Is there a GM mechanic here or someone who has had experience with this who knows if the car has one or not? Thanks in advance for your answer.
