How to repair a USB flash drive (8G Imation)?

When I plugged my 8G Imation USB flash drive into the USB slot, the computer sucessfully shows a new drive letter.
However when I try to read or write into the flash drive, a dialogue box prompted for a disk to be inserted ! And that the USB flash drive cannot be accessed at all by all means!
Please help and thank you in advance

not sure if the USB is damaged? or receiving power?

I used a company awhile back and promote them every chance I get they were awesome!
