How to remove the sim card from Motorola HINT QA30?

I recently purchased a new phone and put it onto my account. For whatever reason, I'm still getting texts on my old phone as well as the new one. I can't place or receive calls. I'm planning on selling my old phone, but I can't really do that when I'm still getting texts on it. How can I stop this? Will they stop by removing the sim card? If so, can anyone tell me where it is and how I can get it out?
