how to remove scratches from a cellphone screen?

I dropped my phone and it got scratched ..unfortunately
and the scratches on the phone are bugging me
I must find a way to fix the screen... help please
Is there anything i can do to fix my cellphone screen which is scratched?
I looked online..everywhere and it said tooth paste helps..i tried and it did not work....
