I want to detail my jeep and after removing the bolts to the driver seat I found one black wire connected underneath it. My seats are not electric and I do not know what this wire is, nor how to disconnect it. I am concerned it may have something to do with my airbag. Any answers and instructions would be appreciated.

I have a 98 Cherokee myself...that wire is a grounding wire, so when you get in the truck and slide across the seat ( especially in the winter!!) you don't get shocked! Basically its just a grounding wire...you should be able to disconnect it with a screw driver after you unbolt the seat.
**it's not the belt sensor. The Belt sensor wires go to the seat belt clip and not the seat.
