I'd like to know too. I like to use it to read ebooks in bed at night and it can be overwhelming. I've muted it somewhat with with careful color selections (grey letters on black background), but it's still bright enough to use as a flashlight. My other Palm device (iQue) can be dimmed much further.

This is the only program description I could find:

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a PXA? No description of how it works or how to use it. Also, it seems to have a good rating, but there's no way to review the comments.

I tend to be a bit cautious about downloading strange software and this makes me a little nervous.

I do not know exactly what is PXA (I guess - processor type) but I know exactly that this prog is good. At least not any resets yet.. while the problem with brightness is solved.

PXA is a line of Intel XScale processors. "The XSCALE core is used in a number of microcontroller families manufactured by Intel: notably Application Processors (with the prefix PXA) ...".
