How to recover faster from Urinary tract infection?

Need some advise ,pls help. My gf is having uti and we had taken medication from hospital, the meds are amoxicillin + clavulanate potassium (antibiotic)and urinary alkalinizer. No more high fever, now only pubis bone pain when urinate. So how long it take to recover?( today is the 1st day.) any other thing I can do to help her recover faster? Furthermore she going oversea tomorrow for a month , NOT SURE TO ASK HER STAY BACK until recover?

Make sure she takes all of her meds even when she feels better continue to take them until finished and also drinking lost of water and cranberry juice will definitely help . Unless she is still running a high temp she should be fine to travel and go on about her like like normal just absolutely have to finish her meds.
