How to protect window from wind?

Hello,
I live on 9th floor and my window (old, glass, not plastic) is very badly situated, right over playgrounds and school, so I have great view, but theres nothing to protect the window from strong wind. This weekend is extremly windy here and its making insane hitting noise, I just found a crack on the window and it makes me really worried, if window is going to survive the night or if Ill wake up to the noise of crashing glass.

Any tips how to protect it or am I just too worried? Thanks

try putting tape over the glass for now if it does break the tape will hold most of it together. the hardware store or a crafts store should sell something like plastic sheet that has adhesive on one side. stick the sheet over the entire window. if there is play in the window at the ends try going to hardware store and ask for non-porous polyethylene "backing rod" place this in the edges this will help with the movement of the window. final option is getting something to put on the outside of the window to prevent the wind from actually hitting the window, but i cant think of anything off the top of my head

Purchase auto window tinting film and apply it to the inside of the glass. You can buy a very light tint that will not darken the glass very much. Auto parts stores have this product.
