How to professionally set up, print and guillotine a 4 page brochure?

I've recently discovered a major problem with printing multiple page brochures.

Aim: Print 50 A4 double sided brochures. (each brochures have 4pages)

Problem(s):

1. The crop marks on the front and back page does not match up therefore, graphics on other pages are out of continuity when placed in correct order.

2. Assuming all the pages are now correctly matched, the brochure must now be guillotined. However should it be guillotined when folded or spread out flat? And would it be wise to guillotine 5 at a time?

3. Theoretically if the crop marks on each pages are in the same position, when folded the thickness of the pages combined will slightly alter the synchronicity for all crop marks position. Is there a "formula" as to how much i should move each crops marks on each pages base on how thick the brochure is going to be?

By the way im using a xerox 700. How do you correctly print your brochures?
Thanks heaps ^.^
