how to prevent my 99 dodge intrepid engine from dieing?

I have a 99 dodge intrpid with 130,000 miles, alot of people have been telling me that the engines on this model tend to give out rather early. what can i do to prevent this from happening to my car?
 
owned a 98 intrepid had a 2.7 motor,took very good care of it.ran rotella t oil and added lucas motor additive. it got sold at 155000 miles and it was still going strong.
 
Well, with 130,000 miles I'd say you have already proved them wrong. Use Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer with every oil change. Keep air filter clean.
