how to prevent injury when running/and or biking everyday?

I smoked for a month then quit..im trying to get back into shape quick..any tips to prevent injury?? besides like not working out
does heat help heal your muscles?
 
lots of stretching....both before and after your workout. and then again before bed and when you get up. If you are just starting up again, this will be super tight. Stretch, stretch, stretch!
 
stretching, hamstrings, quads, calves and hip flexors. If you don't have new running shoes or new running shoes they might help some. A good program will help also. Do just start running like crazy. Start small and work your way up.
