I have a microphone that you can plug into a computer and use for a microphone. i used to have a hp mini... and i could plug it in and it would work just fine. but i got a new laptop and so now i have two jacks. ive tried both and the microphone jack works a littlebit. the noise is REALLY REALLY staticy and you cant hear my voice nearly at all.
and yes my volume is up.
