how to play mp3 player in 2011 honda cr-v lx?

ok-so i am NOT technologically gifted.....but the sales guy said that the aux cable thing in the dash was for playing songs from my mp3 player...i know i have to buy some kind of thing to connect from the aux cable plug to my mp3 player--but I don't know what...and there is NOTHING in the owner's manual about it!

does anyone know? tx for any info

the aux jack is just a small circular hole really....kind of like a jack for those old fashioned big headphones i guess.......it is way bigger than the headphones for my mp3 player...

bonus question...are they all one size? or do I need a particular size?
 
Does the aux jack in your car resemble a headphone jack? If so, then you'll need to purchase a RCA jack, which has 2 plugs that are designed to fit most headphone jacks and auxiliary ports. These are pretty inexpensive to buy, I think I saw them sold at walmart for around $5. Good luck!
