The Used car dealer I bought my 98 Hyundai Elantra told me the check engine light would come on if I put Unleaded gas in it. I have to put Leaded? Is there any other way to fix it? I put unleaded because its cheaper and the check engine light comes on with the following codes: P0121 Throttle/ Pedal Position & Sensor / Switch A Circuit Low Input. What does this mean and what does it have to do with bad gas? Everything has been replaced: Mass Air flow intake valve and the O2 Sensor. I am about to install a cleaned used Idle Air Controller. Since I have to spend $600 before I can get an exemption sticker for 'bad gas', what else should I fix that might possibly make the check enginge light go off and pass inspection? One mechanic told me, If everything has been replaced and these codes still keep coming on, it means there are faulty wires... or no communication / connection.. when you giggle the wire connecting to the Mass Air Flow Valve or O2 Sensor, the check engine light shuts off temporarily for 11 miles. Then it comes back on again. Any guesses on what I should throw $600 dollars at to fix IT and how? A REAL MECHANICS DREAM?
