Follow ALL of the rules of the road.
Come to a full stop at stop signs before proceeding through the intersection.
Obey posted speed limits.
Don't tailgate.
Use your rearview and sideview mirrors to check for cars behind you and on your sides before changing lanes.
Always use your turn signals when changing lanes and when making turns.
At a traffic light, a yellow light means "slow down", NOT "speed through the intersection before the light turns red."
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
