Don't worry I am the same, I got homesick with my friend and it was for only 2 days!
I think the best thing is to do, is challenge your self, make sure you are having fun becasue if you are having fun chatting with your friends then you mind comes off all of it. If you are having a bad day and stressed just keep thinking of the day when you are coming home, stay calm and keep your head and up and be positive. Don't Worry about things, just do it and have lots of fun, because everyone is in the same situation as you, you are not the only one- JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FUN! Because then your mind WILL come off your parents and home and stuff...and it's not just you.
My friend Sammi, got to the point that she wasn't eating and even nearly vomited and wasn;t sleeping. She talked to teachers and got friend support. She also had a talk with her mum and dad and older sister and brother before she left, if this helps. Though she just kept crying and she kept wanting her friends help- but it got to the point that, we couldn't really do much- she was making camp bad for us, because we had to worry about her and couldn't have fun. It got to the point that she needed to help her self.
tips:
1.) Talk to people you trust.
2.) Pre-pare your self, and bring everything that you need.- because if you double check that you have got every thing, it wont make you upset that you have forgotten something.
3.) Think of things that make you happy. Like if you are doing something exciting after camp.
4.) Be positive.
5.) Have fun with friends.
6.) If you are NOT having fun- Make it fun.
Have Fun!
You will survive it's only for a week!...i am not going to wish you Good Luck because you do not need it because you will have so much fun, you will pre-pare your self and be orgainsed (so that everything runs smoothly) and you will do great...thats why I didn't give you good luck!
