How to not blink because of flash?

Every time I take a picture, whether it's indoors or outdoors, I blink. The reason? I don't know, that's why I'm asking you guys what I could do in order to stop blinking when the flash goes off. My eyes blink EVERY single time, no exceptions and the outcome of the picture is me, with my eyes closed or half open/ half closed. I need some help please :) thanks ahead of time.
