How to modify a 1995 Toyota Japanese import factory stereo?

I just bought a 1995 Toyota LandCruiser 70 series. Its a Japanese import and it comes with a very nice factory stereo. Unfortunately the fm only ranges from 75.0 to 90.0.

Can I modify the factory stereo to have the range of 90.0 to 108.0?

Is it possible? Or do I have to get those Sony plug in stereos?

If this is of any help, I'm in New Zealand.
