I'm just starting out, but my family and friends insist my photos are really good (I think they're biased). Anyways, my always vigilant grandmother wants to know if my photos are safe, I have a small website going (it's just a wix, not an actual .com domain) and she's worried someone could save my photos to their computer or something and use it as their own. I know professionals have like, copyrights or whatever, but what do I need to do? I've been editing my photos with my name in the top corner of the pics, with my signature symbol. But couldn't someone still steal my pics if they actually wanted to? Just thought I would ask.
I guess I just ask because I took one really great pic of a bridge sunset, sent it in to a photography contest and won, if someone had used my picture and gotten the credit for that I would have been p*ssed. I didn't have my name or "copyright" on it or anything.
