I have a honda element with brand new 1200 watt subs and an 1800 watt amp. The system really bumps and shakes all my mirrors when your in the car, but you really can't hear it from far away. Should I face the subs a certain way or...
Is my car just too sealed?

you want to be heard get kicker l7's you wont go be heard for blocks... amp your speakers too

Does it sound better if the windows are down? Then, yes you may have too much deadening material.

How many subs are you running and what type? Some subs are better for delivering clean bass while some are better at delivering pounding bass. More is always better in the elctronica world. Maybe add more Subs? 1800 is already a pretty impressive number, and I am surprised you're not happy with the setup you have.

there are many reason, and i am going to go thro all of them! ur box is is ported or sealed? ported is louder than sealed. and is your box custom made just for ur subs? ( a special made box just for your subs really do help big time) and what way is ur subs facing towards you, or towards the trunck? does it seam to get louder with the window down? if ur backseat folds down, leave it up. if ur subs are faceing you then i would change them around facing towards the trunck and if they get louder with the window rolled down then i would leave @ least 2 window done when ur drive ( not all the way but a lil bit) and if ur amp tune to ur subs? if not then u might need to do that that will help alot too. if u have any Q or need anything u can email me @ [email protected]
