I just installed a new Kenwood KDC-148 Head Unit, two Kenwood KFC-139Ps dash speakers, and two Almani rear 6x9 speakers. The rear speakers are a max 500w with a 4 ohm impedance. The front dash speakers are at a peak power of 160w and also a 4 ohm impedance.
I'm currently running them all to the head unit, but I'm planning on getting some sub woofers in a box and also an amplifier.
I notice at high volume the speakers are sounding like if i turn it up any more they will blow. Did i buy bad speakers or will an amp and a crossover help this. Thanks
In all I spent around 220 dollars so far, I'm on a budget and would like to put no more than another 200 into it.
