How to make blinkers work in 98 ford escort?

My mom just bought a 98 ford escort, and didnt check the turning signals before purchasing. Since it was sold as is we cant take it back, so i need some ideas what could be the problem behind this. All the lights come on front back, parking lights, the left turning signal works in both the front and back. Although the right back blinker doesnt work. Could it be a fuse? or something different. Any feedback will be helpful.

If it makes no sound and no light is on I would assume the fuse. If it makes a blinking sound but no light comes on I would say bulb. If it comes on but doesn't blink I would say the blinker relay.

Probably the bulb. There are two filaments in the bulb, the bright one is burned out. Go hit you brakes and see if the right side lights up then. If not go replace the bulb and you will be good to go.
