How to make a sculpture portfolio?

I was looking to apply to an MFA sculpture programme (in Canada), and had a question regarding the number of slides allotted in the portfolio. Most schools ask for about 20 photos, but is that equal to twenty pieces? If one was to submit photos of of sculptural work, could additional photos be included to illustrate the object more clearly, or is it best to remain within 20 slides, and show fewer pieces? Is it advisable to show multiple pieces within one photo? I plan to submit jpeg files on a disk, rather than physical slides.
 
Make sure your images are good and of high resolution so they can be enlarged. You should show the full range of your work in the best examples. Unless there is some extreme A/B aspect (the back being much different than the front, narrow front view with broad side view, etc.) one picture of each piece should be enough - but since you are using jpg, you could even cover that by editing two images together.
Good clear well lighted photography - you are applying for sculpture not photography.
 
I'm actually in the middle of making a sculpture porfolio for college.

The key to portfolios is to only show your best peices, because if you show less they'll expect everything else you make will be up to that level.
Colleges will always say your portfolio is only as good as your worst peice, and the college I go to says to have about 10-20 PEICES in you portfolio
