How to make a game like Two Worlds 2 run smooth and at highest details on my computer?

I have an Nvidia GeForce 8600m GT, that's a 512 RAM and an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7250 processor. I want to make the game Two Worlds 2 run at 1680 x 1050 resolution, but it lags like hell and it runs best at 800 x 600. What can I do? Driver, delete all from my computer? Any advice guys?
