How to make a 'button' work in Macromedia Flash Professional 8?

I have to make a flash presentation of a movie trailer, and i'm doing monsters inc.
we have to have a button somewhere in it, so i'm doing a "start" button and want to make it so that when you click start, the trailer starts...

i've made the button, but i just need help on how to make it actually work!
can anyone please help?? =)
