My mom is throwing me a baby shower in a couple weeks. She's inviting a few of her co-workers and I'm just inviting my family in law which isn't a lot of people. I really want to make this baby shower fun and entertaining so does anyone have any ideas on what we should do at the baby shower so people won't be bored? I already have a few games down. Is dancing neccessary for a baby shower?

I have never been to a baby shower where there was dancing. Every shower I've been to has been limited to the following activties:-opening gifts-eating-talking-games (if you're into that - I personally am fine without them)Keep it under two hours if possible because people start to get bored after that.

No dancing, just lots of games. And make sure you have prizes for the games. I hosted a babyshower for my friend and I went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of dollar prizes like picture frames, lotions, lip balm, household cleaning agents, bath beads. People really enjoyed the prizes and it made playing the games more fun. Space the games out, don't play them all at once. Have a game in the beginning as an icebreaker, eat (play a few games while you eat), open gifts, and play a few more games. Oh, and make sure it's less than 2 hours long b/c people will start to get bored no matter how many games you play.
