How to lower System Load on Acer Laptop?

I did a system Diagnostic and it said that my laptop doesn't have enough memory and I either had to upgrade it or reduce system load. So my question is, how do I do so?

This laptop is constantly freezing and the only thing I've downloaded onto it is FireFox. Also, when I did the diagnostic, everything passed except hardware and driver check failed. It said that my memory is the most busiest one out of everything, Even my CPU which was really high is now lower after a defrag. So, what should I do? I'd be more than glad to give more information.

Oh also, It only freezes when I am in Normal Mode, When I have it in Safe Mode I have no problem whatsoever.

If your running Vista and Windows 7 then turn off Widgets and side bars also the programs running in the background can be turned off with your permission. Go>Start>All Programs>Startup and see what programs Startup auto everytime you turn on your computer. Just delete these items from that folder.

You could also delete some add-ons on Firefox. I suggest downloading Google Chrome because it uses the least amount of ram so thats good!

If your running XP, or Vista upgrade to Windows 7 because Windows 7 runs on less ram then XP or Vista.

Good luck I hope I helped :D
