Hi. I need some advice. What's the easiest way to lock the passenger door (from the outside) on the basic model of the new Ka?
(There is no central locking and no passenger door key slot on this model.)
The internal lock button doesn't push in unless the door is closed. The only way I managed to lock the door from the outside was to firstly pull and hold out the external handle, then reach in and push in the internal lock button, and finally release the external handle and close the door.
This method is awkward, as the door itself is very long, and it's a bit of a stretch to the internal lock button.
The Owner’s Manual seems to be more aimed at models with central locking (and didn't mention the method I discovered to lock the door). Anybody have experience with this?
