How to live with a home with a highly raised foundation on one side of our home.discuss the pros and cons?

I have a 3 year old house.On my left side a house has come up with a foundation of my compound wall level.They have a good look of my house as well when the wind blows all sorts of waste flies from that side.I request readers to pour in their valuable suggestions for us to live without any embarasment from the neighbours.We live by the sea side just 500mts from the sea.

speaking as an architect, for a start this is obviously an example of terrible, thoughtless, cowboy design and architecture - which will lower the likeliness of your property to sell. thought should of been put as in to whether waste would be blown over, and as to how much privacey you keep, personally i'd request that you build a (temporary) wall for privacy. and secondly i'd get some decent blinds!
