HOW TO: LG VX9900 enV on Cricket with All Data Features Working including Brew!!!

Okay first off, in order for *228 to work on cricket you have to CALL them (611) first and tell them you have a flashed phone and you want to use it on your line. They will then ask you for the ESN or another nuraber and then they will tell you to *228. *228 will not program unless you have talked to a cricket representative and given them your ESN.

DO NOT CHANGE YOUR ACTUAL ESN. And two lines on same nuraber with cell phones is ILLEGAL (for now, until they offer it for mroe money or something)

Anyways I managed to get my phone completely back to normal after installing brew. Nothing is gone forever. If you don't want brew then you don't have to worry about losing the media player. I refurbished my enV2 and got everything back to normal. But oddly enough I can't find the src file again... It was posted on this forum somewhere o.o if I find it again I'll post a link.

Anyways after refurbishing it back to normal and getting everything back I went through the flashing process again and now I have it working perfectly (calling, SMS, MMS, mobile web, AND still have media player and a 4gb microsd) and have been using it with no issues for a month and a half. The only issue is that any emails sent to [email protected] come out in weird characters. I wish this would be fixed >.>.

It's been a while since I've worked with those, but I don't remeraber having to work directly with the nv memory (unless your you're messing with esn). I think the mdn/min/wap were all set through the phone screens. Then again, I might have never got the mms fully setup. I can't remeraber. But my suggestion is to do the programming from the nam screen ##000000# or send.

I am new, and have what may be a durab question, so please bear with me. I recently had my Verizon LG Dare vx9700 flashed over to Boost Mobile. That worked fine, I can get calls and SMS, but I'd like MMS and WAP. I've read up on the procedure, I have all the software, am using the 9100 dll and have already edited the fileDB. My assumption is that I need to edit things like my SIP NAI but instead of [email protected] I need something like my [email protected] or something like that. Am I correct in assuming that with the right values I can get MMS and WAP working on my LG with Boost's network using the Cricket procedure? Thanks in advance,

Matt

Hi I don't mean to be noob, and yes I have searched a TON and couldn't find much.

Anyways, will this work with an EnV2?

Also can you detail me on what things need to be different for the EnV2 to work? I'm not too worried about mobile web or brew. All I want is...

Send/Receive Calls
Send/Receive SMS and MMS
Call Waiting
Voice Mail

My Kyocera Lingo doesn't vibrate well anymore :P Time to trash that little ugly piece of crap haha. Found a great deal for a red EnV2 on craigslist. 80$ 0.0 lucky.

But yeah if you could give me details on what settings need to be different than in the tutorial or different files / seperate steps for EnV2 that'd be great. I don't want a brick, I'm freaking poor. Thanks. You guys own.

Oh btw I live in Pittsburgh, PA. That's not AWS or unflashable right?

Thanks again, please don't flame me :(

far as i can tell, the brew is to get to brew apps. if thats your thing, flip it. i like the media player in verizons apps, so i'm leaving it alone. once you go to brew, you'll never get the media player again. until someone gets it going. does brew have cool stuff to add to the phone?? hhmmmmm.... im outty to google it....

I'll leave that one alone. Nice to here from you though. ;)

I've been reading through some of the posts here, and I've heard people talking about getting the mms working on the cricket treos.

Is that true?

The ONLY diffrence is U need 2 use the 9100.dll for LG Download... It actualy says that on the 1st page of this thread... Other then that this tutoral works perfect on an enV2... I've already done 2

I also have a solution for 403 forbidden just means that you do not have the plan. Means you can not use the $40 or just add on internet you must get the $ 50 plan for it to work trust me.

use this guide (with few differences) as your guide for doing any verizon LG flash to cricket

LGNPST Lab will be needed for newer LGs in place of the LG Download app

I just got the verion 8300 phone from a cricket dealer already flashed to cricket, can I skip a few steps and just activate the web browser part so that it works? Or do I have to do it all from the beginning. I haveent tested my mms yet but I think it already works I'll know in a few minutes haha! Any information would be helpful thanks in advance.

ah alright cool, im doing this for my dad so to keep it simple, im not goign to touch brew then :).
Btw, will this also work for env2? using the 9900.dll?

##000000# dont work. It use to be ##77647268300 but for some reason that dont even work anymore. But I can set all those up with NV Edit no problem. But everybody keeps telling me that i can fully flash it over to cricket but not sure what I doing wrong & why it wont stay in the phone after I write it to phone.
