Okay first off, in order for *228 to work on cricket you have to CALL them (611) first and tell them you have a flashed phone and you want to use it on your line. They will then ask you for the ESN or another nuraber and then they will tell you to *228. *228 will not program unless you have talked to a cricket representative and given them your ESN.
DO NOT CHANGE YOUR ACTUAL ESN. And two lines on same nuraber with cell phones is ILLEGAL (for now, until they offer it for mroe money or something)
Anyways I managed to get my phone completely back to normal after installing brew. Nothing is gone forever. If you don't want brew then you don't have to worry about losing the media player. I refurbished my enV2 and got everything back to normal. But oddly enough I can't find the src file again... It was posted on this forum somewhere o.o if I find it again I'll post a link.
Anyways after refurbishing it back to normal and getting everything back I went through the flashing process again and now I have it working perfectly (calling, SMS, MMS, mobile web, AND still have media player and a 4gb microsd) and have been using it with no issues for a month and a half. The only issue is that any emails sent to [email protected] come out in weird characters. I wish this would be fixed >.>.
