Hello im making this thread because i only flashed my first phone not even a month ago (LG Dare) and it was a pretty hard phone for me since im used to GSM phone hacking....
But all in all im making this since the VX9900 tutorial is kinda hard to understand since it has so much detail and it randomly jumps to different areas...
I give credit to berry_lthird for his guide since without it i would have never gotten my wap to work...
Also a reminder im making this simple and straight out forward so dare users can complete the flash in less then 10 mins... I will show steps and pictures all you dare users will only have to copy my settings shown on the pictures
and edit the few things i mentioned...
And in my tutorial i will NOT be editing the wap by phone menu so their should not be any boot loops
Tutorial is beginner friendly...
Things you will NEED:
LGNPST Store
LGNPST Lab Upgrade (Makes this so much easier)
LGNPST VX9700 DLL (So lgnpst can recognize the phone)
Cricket PRL (use mine or whatever you choose)
LG Meid Changer (Only needed for full flash recovery)
Remember this is on a virgin verizon phone....
1st Step
Install lgnpst store....
After done install lgnpst lab should be a quick 1 sec install...
Then Install the lgnpst vx9700 dll i included....
The LG Dare drivers are needed if you diddnt know already...
Now that you have done all that start up lgnpst and it should say
Now connect your phone if you havent already and it should say 1 port
connected and it should show your vx9700 loaded on whatever com port
so now press the button that says phone settings and nv edit should pop
up... Now their should be a button that says read click it... Now after you
have done that follow the rest of the steps TILL I SAY CLICK WRITE DONT
DO IT TILL I SAY TO DO IT
2nd Step - Cricket Settings
You can copy each setting shown in the pics setting by setting... It should work for all cricket areas all really needed to be edited or added are the min/mdn parts that i will tell you to add... So make sure all settings match mine....
WAP
Your username is your min number (8325555555) if you dont know your min
number look at the main window of lgnpst....
Warning Do not add ANYTHING ELSE but your min number not even
the @mycricket.com that is what causes the dare to bootloop
SMS
The important setting is the MO-SMS SO setting and the message size...
MMS

3rd Step Cricket PRL
The phone should have restarted now once fully restarted you exit out of
the nv edit and it should say "edit complete click to continue" from their
where it says provision (the big tab) Press prl/eri and load the prl and press
start (you can also load a custom eri or verizons default eri if you like to have
the option to use the eri banner which shows your carrier on screen)
Extra Info
How do i get the latest prl for my area?
Once your fully connected to cricket with the prl i provided (or of your own)
You need to dial *228 to program and download the latest prl of your market.
If i mess up and reflash it how do i fix the bluetooth address not set?
I have no idea im still trying to fix it and figure it out my self maybe theirs
a file to edit who knows im not a cdma phone master here...
How do i get free brew?
Well all i can say is google... Theirs one hack already in public that writes
certain files to run unsigned brew apps.. Problem is we need brew apps so
we can make test sigs for them and mod files...
(By no means am i saying to do it just saying :2thumbs: )
What is that lg meid changer for?
It depends on what you use it for... But for this some people mess up and
cause a boot loop which makes the phone keep restarting... From which a
reflash is needed and 100% of the time your eri/meid/bluetooth address get
erased and this app is needed for a simple meid fix...
