How to learn to make good food is there any good cooking book?

If the basic cooking terms are unfamiliar to you, a cookbook would not be helpful to begin your cooking endeavors. You'd be much better watching cooking shows such as the ones on Food Network, etc. Shows that are geared towards the family meal types.

And there may be some cooking classes around your community - maybe check your adult schools or vocational centers.

Good luck - cooking is fun and best of all you get to eat your cooking - even your mistakes!

Check out some basic "classic" cookbooks on the internet. I rarely refer to them now, except to double check for oven temps, timing, ingredients, proportions, etc. My "go to" book for the past 35 years has been "The Joy of Cooking". I've never found it to have a "bad" recipe or instructions (although you will learn how great it is to create your own "improvements" over time).
