How to learn more about t-shirt printing/embroidery business?

I am interested in starting an embroidery and/or t-shirt digital printing business. I have scoured the web and am overwhelmed with very basic info, some of which I am skeptical about the reliability of the information. So, what is the best way to find in depth and honest info about this business?
 
The absolute best way is to go get a job with an existing business in this line, even if only part time. You can earn while you learn, and you get to see almost everything it will take. You will also be exposed to many of the downsides to the business, which you would probably not know about just resarching online and you need to know about these.
