How to keep an App running on my Iphone?

I have a texting service that is an app on my iphone that lets me text my friend and for them to reply without me having a texting plan. Is there any way for me to make this app start when my iphone turns on (reboots), and stay on until I want to shut it off?
 
I would advise you to jailbreak your phone - this can be done in a relatively easy fashion - visit iclarified.com for instructions on how to do this IMPORTANT: use iTunes to backup your phone before you do this - with a jailbroken phone you can run apps without being forced to close them when switching to other tasks - the cydia(jailbreak app store) that allows this is called "Backgrounder" - otherwise I'm not sure if you can do this - I do question an apple approved app that allows textintg without a plan? It would seem apple/ATT would not like that
