How to keep a car cool while it is not running(turned off)?

Does anyone know of any a/c systems or anything else that could keep a car comfortably cool while it is turned off and just sitting? Any ideas appreciated.
I'm talking for a long period of time, like, say 5 or 6 hours at a time (no, I'm not sleeping in it).

Unfortunately, the engine has to be running in order for the A/C to operate--however, there are some things you can do to help avoid excess heat in the car. one way is to open all your windows partially, so that some heat can escape. There are also fans that are designed specifically for the car, and operate using the car's battery. I saw one of these at Target just the other day. They also have clip-on fans that you can clip on just about anywhere--your car, your clothing, anywhere. And these do not run off the car battery--regular batteries should do just fine.

Use one of those reflective windshield visors that should help as for a/c units I have not heard of one that works with the engine off.

When you turn the key, there should be notches in the key hole that say off, AC, and start. just turn it to AC. It doesnt start the car.

the only car that i've ever heard having an ac system that keeps the car cool with the car parked is the new toyota prius. and its only optional.

just roll down the window and turn on the fans. or bring your own fans.
