How to join the enclave in fallout 3 game of the year edition?

Hi I wanted to join the enclave so I put the virus in the water for president Eden and I woke up 2 weeks later but when I try to get into the place Eden was at the enterence is blown up. Where am I supossed to go or did I miss a quest. I was told the enclave would give me a helicopter that I could use to store my stuff and fast travel please help
