My friend and I are moving into an apartment in a new city together; she has a male cat and I have a female, each very territorial. I want to make the move as stress-free as possible, any tips?
I have been through this. I simply brought my cat in and let her be. She slowly made her way around, sniffing everything in sight and eventually settled down near me. I would pet her every now and then just to let her know I was there and to reassure her all was okay. She stayed out of sight once in a while, but within a week, she was fine. She found her food and litter box and did just great.
