How to install Java games to F480?

Here a link to my folder...

I uploaded all the games that are actually working on my phone, except "Bejeweled" that actually i can open it but it hangs after i press the first option to play. But seems that others can play it fine, so I still uploaded it there.

If anyone of you got more games beside those that are working on the F480 please also upload them. so we can make a big collection of Games for F480 .

The games i have which some are full touch screen... are adapted to not show the bottom bar.
But other games that are not touchscreen (eg. Diamond Rush) still got the bar there (if there is no bar, then u cannot play them).

I hope this help you guys

sensesme: can you tell me where are the applications and/or games when you install them via gprs? where in the phone what folder is that? what menu? TIA

Now I have the bin file growing...
The port to use was:
COM5 - Qualcomm Diagnostics Interface 3197 (COM5)
instead:
COM4 - Qualcomm Propietay USB Modem (PID 3197)

(last one is what I use with BitPim)

you won't see them, they made them hidden in this model, try the way from the link above, it may be helpful

Good work, I am not a gamer but always usefull having a pack of games "reported working" and bottom menu bar fixed.

I am suspecting you are having more problems than others with J2ME apps, maybe it is because your rom version (or maybe I am wrong):
You said that some people is playing with games that give you probems.
I just gave a random try to several games of this pack (more than 20) and none give me problems.
I have to say with some games I just went to fist menu and with the rest just started the game for few seconds, maybe not enough to start having problems.
I cannot remember all of them but games like Sonic Jump and Sega Rally seemed to me to behave fine.

You better try those games that give you problems once reflashed your F480. If still fail report the games so that we can give them a try.

May be they can become visible changing some developer configuration at secret codes menus...

I tried, but it does not work for me.
At second step I never get mentioned 'New Folder' and at the end I never get it istalled.

Additionally, it seems not only we have a problem of hidden files but also it seem a matter of locked functionallity. Copying jar/jad files to 'Other files' and executing them from the phone should work. I think it does not work because installing from PC is locked (I also read this somewhere in the web).
So I am in the hope it can also be unlocked some way...

yes, diagnostic interface, sorry i didn't mention that, just didn't think, for me it's automatic..
don't be scared, should take less than hour [;

Well, yes, seems that i am the unlucky one hehe.
Next week i may go to Samsung Office to upgrade my firmware to the latest. They told me i may pick it up within 2 to 3 working days.
After that i am going to try the Bejeweled game to see if i get the same problem or not. Hopefully not.

yes, its locked, samsung only lets to install java via OTA - over the air, so using gprs.. but in many phones there are ways to pass the protection, here in f480 we have the next step, unaccesible games folder

very good idea talkingforever ...

I just uploaded monopoly that is working in touch screen and that I pached to remove the bar.

Regards
KB

I GET IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Give few more minutes to find out witch one of the 3 places where I copied the game is the right one)
