How to install 160GB BackUp of XP on new Windows 7 Home Premium HD in virtual mode?

I bought a new 500GB Windows Home Premium Laptop & too late I found out it doesn't have XP mode & I can't afford to upgrade (besides, would void my warranty). My current Desk Top is a Dell 160GB XP Home with Factory OEM which had all my programs and files (which most are single license on single computer) and I need these programs for my auctions/websites/work/school. Like I mentioned, the new Windows 7 doesn't have XP Mode so I can't use my programs on it. I've seen where you can create a Virtual drive and then use your XP programs, that's easy enough, but then I'm stuck. I've seen instructions on how to install the Windows XP on a Virtual drive but no where have I seen instructions on if it's a OEM License XP....OR.....how to get my backup to the virtual drive. Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions? I'll be using Sun Virtual Box for the Virtual Drive, which has clear instructions on what to do, and Macrium Reflect Free (recommended) for the XP backup - so I need help from there on. Thank you in advance to any kind souls than can help.
