How to help military bad dreams?

My boyfriend has just come back from a 15 month tour in Iraq. He has been having bad dreams about his experiences from there. He refuses to see someone and Im not sure what i should do for him. He even has issues staying at my house because of the windows i have in my bedroom remind him of a safe hold in Iraq.
 
I am sure that is called post traumatic stress syndrome.
here is nothing you can do if he will not go to talk to someone that can help him deal with it.

The bad thing is, is that a lot of people with this, turn to alcohol and drugs to ease the pain.
